BROOKLYN HIGH SCHOOL ONLY (Grades 8–12) — CLOSED Wednesday, September 2 Due to Forecasted Extreme Heat

Due to the forecasted extreme heat expected throughout the day on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Brooklyn High School (Grades 8–12) will be CLOSED tomorrow.

The forecast calls for temperatures exceeding 90 degrees, with a real-feel temperature of 100+ degrees expected in classrooms at Brooklyn High School. Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our students and staff, the building will be closed for the day.

Please note the following EXCEPTIONS:

🔹 Polaris Career Center — IN SESSION
Juniors and seniors who attend Polaris Career Center are expected to attend classes as scheduled on Wednesday. Bus transportation will be provided as usual for our Polaris students.

🔹 Brooklyn Preschool Early Childhood Center & Brooklyn School (K–7) — IN SESSION
Students attending the Preschool/Early Childhood Center and Brooklyn School (K–7) are expected to attend school as normally scheduled on Wednesday. Both buildings are air-conditioned.

🔹 High School Athletics & Activities — INDOOR PRACTICES ONLY 
All high school athletic activities and practices scheduled for Wednesday will be held indoors. Times and locations will be communicated by the head coach and/or advisor. All middle school practices are cancelled.
