Dear Brooklyn Families,
It is hard to believe we are quickly approaching the end of winter and sprinting towards the last grading period of the school year. I am reminded that the last quarter of the school year is about the growth of all of our students. As we enter the final months of the 2022-23 school year, I would like to take the opportunity to encourage our students to continue to learn, grow, and take advantage of the opportunities available this spring!
I am continuously reminded why our Hurricane Nation continues to stand out among other school districts in Northeast Ohio. From academics and athletics to performing and fine arts opportunities, Brooklyn’s students have displayed creativity, determination, and pride in all their pursuits. I want to thank all of our students, staff, and families for their continued support and I am excited for the many end-of-the-year activities that have become a tradition in the district.

Prospective families are encouraged to park in the Blue Lot off Behrwald Avenue and enter the school through Door #5. Superintendent's Key Communicators Advisory Committee
In the hopes of continuing our positive momentum in the district and looking to the next phase of our Strategic Planning process, I am looking for key members of our community and school district to participate in the Superintendent's Key Communicators Advisory Committee.
As we have recently completed our Strategic Plan and are in the process of wrapping up the first year of its implementation, I wanted to take this opportunity to invite members of our community, businesses, students, and families to be a participant on the Superintendent’s Key Communicators Advisory Committee. This committee will be an extension of the Strategic Planning process and will allow me the opportunity to listen and learn from each of you on the current direction of the district.
Our first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Brooklyn School (PK-7) Media Center. If you are interested in being a part of the Key Communicators Advisory Committee, please email me directly at ted.caleris@bcshurricanes.org.
As always, please contact me directly via email if you have any questions! Go Hurricanes!
Best regards,
Dr. Theodore Caleris, Superintendent
